Stephan Geisler
Biography
Stephan Geisler’s art reflects his positive and carefree attitude towards life. Figurative, up-beat and urban are all words that come to mind when confronted with his large, colourful paintings.
He steers away from using canvas to depict frustration, anger or fear. He believes our lives are surrounded by these emotions constantly either in reality or day to day media, television and newspaper. Instead Stephan’s paintings are ideal for escapism with a touch of fantasy aiming to transport us towards a happy moment, which in turn for him becomes a worthwhile achievement
His sympathetic attitude towards life and immediate positivism rubs heavily on the viewer. Using moments that occur in our everyday life, Stephan depicts fluid body movements, thoughts and ideas. Reoccurring floral motifs and sometimes cows, add to the happy-go-lucky vision that he creates for us.
Stephan believes in basics. His art is authentic in feeling and that is most important to him.
Stephan exhibits all over Europe, his latest exhibitions being in his home country Germany and also in Denmark.
