Richard Butterfield
British born photographer Richard Butterfield claims his love for photography stemmed from when his father gave him an old Russian Range-finder camera called a Zorki 4K. He has a passion for simplicity and strives to find the beauty that exists in his subjects.
Where applicable he applies limited depth of field and shears of the focus plane to emphasize or play down features with the aim of distilling the essence of what one is trying to communicate.
Richard has done a series of Dhow and Creek photographs that are significant to Dubai.
Richard currently lives in Dubai.
